I planning to take my first from BNE to LHR on China Southern Airlines in August.

Welcome to AusBT! Do you want to tell us a little bit more about your trip so we can be specifically helpful ? which class are you travelling in, which aircraft is your onward connection using, how much time will you be spending in London, where will you be staying, what will the purpose be of your trip ? perhaps?

TV station hacker warns of zombies in Montana

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) ? A Montana television station's regular programming was interrupted by news of a zombie apocalypse.

The Montana Television Network says hackers broke into the Emergency Alert System of Great Falls affiliate KRTV and its CW station Monday.

KRTV says on its website the hackers broadcast that "dead bodies are rising from their graves" in several Montana counties.

The alert claimed the bodies were "attacking the living" and warned people not to "approach or apprehend these bodies as they are extremely dangerous."

The network says there is no emergency and its engineers are investigating.

A call to KRTV was referred to a Montana Television Network executive in Bozeman. Jon Saunders didn't immediately return a call for comment.

The Great Falls Tribune reports the hoax alert generated at least four calls to police to see if it was true.

Q. Boring Sex: In my college years, I was sexually adventurous, to say the least. In my later 20s, I found my way back to my church, and decided to start fresh, and wait until marriage. I met my now husband in my church singles' group, and we have been married for just over a year now. He knows nothing of my sexual past, I didn't feel it was necessarily his business, and he never asked. However, he was a virgin when we married, and there is the problem. He is really lousy in bed. I've tried to suggest ideas to spice things up, but he looks confused when I do. Also, when I've made certain suggestions as to say, positions, he asks how I'd even think of something like that, so I told him I'd read about it online, and he got worried I'd seen porn! I don't want to tell him about my past, but I don't really want to spend the rest of my life in missionary, when there are so many other options. If I reveal too much knowledge about sexual acts we haven't done, I'm pretty sure he'll decide I was "used goods" and he shouldn't have married me?are there other ways I could drop a hint, without revealing too much about my own past?

A: I'll never understand people who don't go for a test drive before purchasing the vehicle. When you say he knows nothing of your past, I don't know if you mean he doesn't know the details or he thought like himself, you had no sexual past. If the latter then you married under false pretenses. This problem goes beyond him being inexperienced; he's not interested in becoming experienced. So you two may have a fundamental mismatch. You need some honesty in this marriage. Without going into numbers or details (and don't be bullied into revealing them) you tell him you know about sex because you've had it. You say your experience could make your marriage much more exciting and you want to explore sexually with him. If he thinks you are damaged goods, then what a favor he'll be doing you by ending it now.

Q. I Think I Like Being Sexually Harassed?: I work as a dispatcher for a TV provider. I am in constant contact with the field managers. Flirting and flattery is not uncommon in my office between the female dispatchers and the men in the field. One of the field managers has been taking the flirting too far and had been saying some very explicit things to me. ... He wants to take me to a hotel room, he asks if I'm loud in bed, he tells me I am sexy (our contact is 100 percent over the phone and through email). I can't help it, but I like it! Everyone else would say this is inappropriate and sexual harassment. But I can't help but be turned on by all this. Even worse, we are both married, and he and his wife have a child. I feel like I am cheating on my husband by participating in these raunchy conversations. I honestly don't know what to do. I am addicted to this man's sexual comments, but I am also addicted to my husband. Please help me!

A: You two might get addicted to unemployment if your work emails fall into the wrong hands?and oh, how often that kind of thing has happened. Since you are a willing participant in this, don't think you could hide behind sexual harassment if you both end up getting fired. You each have jobs, and as far as I can ascertain, they're not with a phone sex service. So your X-rated communications are a ticking time bomb for both marriages and paychecks. Stop with the "addicted" garbage. Next time your raunchy co-conspirator calls you say, "We've got to stop this immediately. Starting now." If you need a 12-step program to keep it professional, go find one.

Q. Menopause: I am almost 19 years old and I'm still living with my parents. Both of my parents are in their late 40s and I've had a pretty good relationship with them my entire life. Starting about last year, my mom started going through menopause. I hate what it has made her become. Sometimes she'll ask if someone make her breakfast or grab her a cart at the grocery store and my brother or father and I will fight over who has to go make/do whatever she asks. She'll get fed up and scream at us, calling us names and if we had made plans to go out to eat/shop/whatever, she'll throw those plans away and lock herself in her bedroom. There were a couple of times when she and I went to restaurants (usually fast food) and because of the pressure of time, I told her I didn't want anything. She became very upset and threw insults at me and threatened to take away trips and privileges. Once she left me at a restaurant and said, "You can get your own ride home." I called a friend crying to come get me. I hate what menopause has made her, she whines and victimizes herself and can go from happy to angry at the drop of a hat. How do I deal with her for the next year until I leave for college?

A: Is it hot in here, or is it just me? I think your mother sounds perfectly normal and the rest of you are horrible meanies who don't understand how hard she's working and everything is so awful and no one understands and?excuse me while I get a box of tissues. Oh, your lucky father, a few years ago he had two kids going through puberty, and now this. Believe me, no one is more miserable than your mother and you need to urge your father to gently tell her that things don't have to be so bad and she needs to see her gynecologist for relief. She?and the rest of you?simply don't have to suffer this way. As you know, changes of life involving hormone fluctuations are not easy, but there are good interventions that should help smooth things out for your mother, and the rest of you.

Q. Relationship Advice: I've dated a guy four months and realized recently that he's fallen far more in love with me than I have with him. So much so, in fact, that it's a huge turn-off. Being pressured to tell him I love him, talk about "our future" together ... and he's been telling me for weeks that he's "making" me something for Valentine's Day. I'm closing in on 40, divorced (13 years, but hey) and am in no hurry to settle down. To be kind, I tried to break off the relationship. He's acting like he's got to fight to win me back and doesn't realize that I'm serious. I don't want to be with him. Texts at 9 a.m. that are a mile long, random posts to his Facebook page with "passive - aggressive" messages about how true love is worth fighting for. It's actually starting to scare me. Tips on how to make this as painless for ME as possible? All I can be with him is consistently and frequently honest. Over and over and over. Please help.

A: Ah, Happy Valentine's Day from your stalker. You tell this guy it's over, and unfortunately because of the way things have gone you two will not be able to be in touch and he needs to cease all contact with you immediately. You block him and unfriend him?but you keep copies of everything he's sent. If he won't go away, you go to the police.

Q. Low Sex?Lots of Porn: My husband and I have been together for 11 years and share four gorgeous children. My husband also has a history of "problems," though I am proud to say he is celebrating several years of sobriety. Since getting clean and sober he has a problem keeping strong during the act?he has no issue getting there, as a matter of fact often I catch him there but, once we start (within two minutes) he loses it and it is really starting to affect me on many more levels than I thought. My self-esteem is low, I find myself taking all compliments and wolf whistles to heart, and Prudie I'm so frustrated in the bedroom I can't see straight! The other day I found XXX video links on his smartphone by accident, and that bothered me so I asked him what?s up? He said that I never want to be with him so he has to satisfy himself somehow. This made me angry and I lashed out at him ... not harshly but told him what was on my mind. I told him that his lack of staying power has me frustrated and when it happens and it happens often, I hate seeing him get so upset and mad at himself. He got a little upset understandably, and then I asked is it me? Remember I've had 4 kids ... I don't know what to do, Prudie. I absolutely LOVE and adore my husband but if I don't get some relief soon I'm afraid I'll step out and find the answers on my own.

Must See HDTV (February 11th - 17th)

Must See HDTV February 11th 17th

Regular season pro hoops action takes this weekend off for the All-Star Game, while NHL action is in full swing. Reality TV fans have new season of long running series Survivor and The Amazing Race to look forward to, and a new Bond is coming home on Blu-ray. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames.

NBA All-Star Weekend
Celebs, up and coming players, and the league's top stars (as voted by fans and coaches) collide this weekend in Houston for the 2013 NBA All-Star Game. As always, there's some conflict about who is most qualified to play, and the usual controversy about whether or not the dunk contest will be any good this year. We'll be keeping an eye on the Rising Stars game Friday night to see which first or second year players are the best, and the second half of the ASG itself to see if Dwyane Wade hits Kobe in the face (again).
(All weekend, ESPN / TNT)

Skyfall
James Bond is back, in a nicely shot entry in the series. This flick has a slightly different angle as Bond, M and the rest of the agents find themselves under attack directly, but as usual Daniel Craig is up to the task.
($19.99 on Amazon)

State of the Union
Clear your Tuesday night schedule on several networks, as the President takes the stage for the first State of the Union Address of his second term in office. Regardless of your affiliation or even interest in politics, it does provide a good opportunity to compare/contrast the quality of each network's feed.

Homeschooling Held Hostage

I remember the day we decided pull our daughter out of school. The day we ?made it public??this decision to homeschool.

I.Was.Terrified. ?Really. ?My knees were knocking as I walking into our oldest daughter?s grade school. ?I liked her teacher. I had no complaints, really, except that we knew in our hearts there was something missing.school

We longed for more. ?More shared experiences. More tailored education. A greater focus on the Creator of the beauty that surrounded us. A desire to dig deeper into family life. More story time. More field trips. Less rushing to go our separate ways every morning. More LIFE.

That was fifteen years ago. Our beautiful second grader is now a beautiful wife and is expecting her own child this year. Time goes by fast.

In the past fifteen years, we?ve seen a lot of changes in the homeschool community. ?There is much more pressure being put on homeschoolers to excel academically. We?ve gone from a few brave moms who, without access to mainstream ?curriculum?, managed to give their children an excellent education?but we?ve forgotten what made it excellent.

It was?excellent because these moms had a?vision for homeschooling?they weren?t trying to re-create school at home. They were simply being obedient to the One who had called them to be?different. They knew that if He had called them, He would equip them. And they were right.

When I was brand-new to homeschooling, I did the only thing I knew how to do: I set up a classroom in our home?complete with desks like the ones I had in school.desk

We soon began to understand that those desks, however, were not going to work over the long haul. What we?really needed was a comfy couch, where we could curl up and read about the life of a hermit crab named Pagoo or discover the mysteries of the Island of Capri. Yes, a couch was what we needed.

For years, I notebooked with our children. We took nature walks and studied the seasons together. We did copy work and read stories of brave men and women who followed God with an abandon that most only dream about. And we spent a lot of time on the couch.

My husband (the patience of this man knows no limits) hauled the desks back up the stairs and out of the house. We sold them at a garage sale in the spring of 1999.

And today, as I look closely at our homeschool, I have to ask, ?What makes me different??

It?s easy to be held hostage by the expectations of the world.

I see it all around me?and I feel it myself. ?The pressure is enormous. Why don?t?my kids?know Latin?

Am I doing enough?

sydney_piano

Most of us took our children out of public school in search of something more, only to be hijacked by the world?s system?right there on the couches in our living rooms. We?re putting our kids into hyper-academic ?homeschooling? programs and we?re allowing the pressure of the ?what ifs? to determine what we teach our children. Yes. We?re falling for it. ?Does this sound familiar?

We can?t read today, kids. ?We have too much math to do.
Mommy would love to play with you; but you need to finish your schoolwork first. And don?t forget about yesterday?s work.
We?ll do that?later, after we do school.
Where is your list of assignments from the co-op?

Our Bibles gather dust?or worse?become just another thing to check off of our curriculum checklist.

* ? Read one chapter in Hebrews. ?*check here when done*

So many homeschool moms today are suffering from burnout?and I get it. The pressure to do more is enormous. But I wonder ? is all this ?more? really what God had in mind when He called us to be different? Somehow, I don?t think He meant for us to bring our children home only to have our home life hijacked by the a worldly philosophy of education. I don?t think God meant for us?or our children?to struggle under the weight of someone else?s idea of a ?proper? education.

I think?just maybe? He meant for us to be free.

Free to read aloud. All day if we want to. Even with our high schoolers.
Free to draw and create.
Free to discover the beauty of Creation?unhurried?and without the expectation of a report that is due at the end of the next day.
Free to forget about preschool.
Free to take a hot chocolate walk for no reason.
Free ? to know Him more.

hot_chocolate

?

It?s hard to do that when we?re always on someone else?s schedule.

If you are being held hostage by a burdensome curriculum or a program that promises to get your kid into college?and if you?re wondering if this was really the life that God had designed for you, I challenge you to look at those first homeschool moms. They set the bar?and they did it without expensive ?all inclusive? programs. They did it by faith. They did it because they knew God would provide for their every need if they would only trust Him to guide and direct them.

These precious moms found out that God is faithful. He can be trusted. His mercies are new every day.

His yoke is easy. His burden is light.

Ask Him what He has for you and your children. ?If you are not experiencing the ?life? you were looking for when you began your homeschooling journey, it may be that you?re not giving the Lord permission to lead you there.

I know?because for all my trying? and even after I have experienced the freedom that comes from a more relational approach to homeschooling, ?I often find myself a hostage of homeschooling rather than a mom who is enjoying the gift that has been given to us through homeschooling. ?It?s easy, even for a mom who has graduated a few children, to wonder if she?s doing enough.

If you?re being held hostage today?ask the Lord to show you His heart for your homeschool. ?Because in following Him, you?ll find the LIFE you?re looking for.

(AP Photo/Tami Abdollah)

BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. (AP) ? The hunt for a former Los Angeles police officer suspected in three killings continued in snow-covered mountains Saturday as the LAPD's chief said he would reopen the disciplinary case that led to the fugitive's firing and new details emerged of the evidence he left behind.

Officials will re-examine the allegations by Christopher Dorner, 33, that his law enforcement career was undone by racist colleagues, Police Chief Charlie Beck said. While he promised to hear out Dorner if he surrenders, Beck stressed that he was ordering a review of his 2007 case because he takes the allegation of racism in his department seriously.

"I do this not to appease a murderer. I do it to reassure the public that their police department is transparent and fair in all the things we do," the chief said in a statement.

Authorities suspect Dorner in a series of attacks in Southern California over the past week that left three people dead, including a police officer. Authorities say he has vowed revenge against several former LAPD colleagues whom he blames for ending his career. The killings and threats that Dorner allegedly made in an online rant have led police to provide protection to 50 families, Beck said.

A captain who was named a target in the manifesto posted on Facebook told the Orange County Register he has not stepped outside his house since he learned of the threat, and he was taking it seriously.

"From what I've seen of (Dorner's) actions, he feels he can make allegations for injustice and justify killing people and that's not reasonable," said Capt. Phil Tingirides, who chaired a board that stripped Dorner of his badge. "The end never justifies the means."

Saturday was the third full day of a massive multi-agency hunt for Dorner in the San Bernardino mountains, about 80 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles, where Dorner's burned-out pickup truck was discovered Thursday. A scaled-back search party took advantage of a break from stormy weather to search for Dorner using heat-sensing helicopters as vacationing families and weekend skiers frolicked nearby.

A law enforcement officer told The Associated Press authorities found weapons in the truck. The officer spoke on condition of anonymity because the probe is ongoing.

Investigators have been examining the truck to determine if it broke down or was set ablaze as a diversion. Police say the truck had a broken axle. Investigators are trying to determine whether it was already broken when they found it, or whether it was damaged when it was towed away.

Newly released surveillance video showed Dorner tossing several items into a Dumpster behind an auto parts store in National City on Monday. The store's manager told FOX5 in San Diego that an employee found a magazine full of bullets, a military belt and a military helmet. Majid Yahyai said he and the employee took the items across the street to a police station.

On Friday night, authorities served a search warrant and collected evidence from a Buena Park storage unit as part of their investigation. Irvine police Lt. Julia Engen wouldn't elaborate on the nature of the evidence or say who had rented the unit.

Earlier Friday, another warrant was served at a La Palma house belonging to Dorner's mother. Officers collected 10 bags of evidence, including five electronic items.

In his online manifesto, Dorner vowed to use "every bit of small arms training, demolition, ordnance and survival training I've been given" to bring "warfare" to the LAPD and its families.

Dorner served in the Navy, earning a rifle marksman ribbon and a pistol expert medal. He was assigned to a naval undersea warfare unit and various aviation training units, according to military records. He took leave from the LAPD for a six-month deployment to Bahrain in 2006 and 2007.

The flight training that he received in the Navy prompted the Transportation Security Administration to issue an alert on Friday, warning the general aviation community to be on the lookout for Dorner. The extent of his potential flying skills wasn't known, the bulletin said.

Last Friday was his last day with the Navy and also the day CNN's Anderson Cooper received a package that contained a note on it that read, in part, "I never lied." A coin riddled with bullet holes that former Chief William Bratton gave out as a souvenir was also in the package.

Police said it was a sign of planning by Dorner before the killing began.

On Feb. 3, police say Dorner shot and killed a couple in a parking garage at their condominium in Irvine. The woman was the daughter of a retired police captain who had represented Dorner in the disciplinary proceedings that led to his firing.

Dorner wrote in his manifesto that he believed the retired captain had represented the interests of the department over his.

Hours after authorities identified Dorner as a suspect in the double murder, police believe Dorner shot and grazed an LAPD officer in Corona and then used a rifle to ambush two Riverside police officers early Thursday, killing one and seriously wounding the other.

The crime spree spanned across a wide swath of Southern California, prompting several police agencies, including the FBI and US Marshall Service, to form a joint investigative task force on Saturday.
